I took a break from other craft projects that I've been working on and finally crocheted for the first time in weeks, it feels like! Lyra, one of my belly dance girls, and her mom, another friend!, are awesome at sewing and crafts, and Lyra's mom asked me to make her some hearts to use for gloves she's making this winter. Here's what I've come up with! I'll give them to her on Wednesday, and I hope she likes them!
I used this pattern and made four red, two brown, two white, and two purple! I used Lion's Brand for all of them, I think. Imagine that! They were all scraps, though, so I didn't have the label anymore. I know the red is cranberry and I know that the white and brown were both Jiffy brand. The weird circle thing is part of the pattern I got the heart from, but .. I don't think that is going to go anywhere but back in my yarn stash pile. Just a big blob of yarn! It looks really, really cute in the pattern's picture, though!
Something that I got better with by doing this pattern was the magic ring. I always have such a hard time with that! What is something that you'd like to improve on in your crafting? Each of these hearts started with a magic ring - I did start to get the hang of it! Still kind of fumbly, though .. Not the most intensive project, (did them all up while watching the Emmy's), or anything that original, but it was definitely nice to get my hooks out again, though!
