Here's one project that I've actually finished recently! I haven't had any free-time lately, so this quick and easy craft was perfect for my schedule. TASSELS! I've been wanting to add my own personal and hand-made touches to my belly dance outfits and this is one thing that I've thought of.

I used this pattern from Craftzine and a couple different types of cheap, Red Heart yarn. I definitely will make some more of these soon with yummier, fuzzier, higher quality yarn, but I didn't want to spend too much for just practice. Instead of cardboard, I wrapped my soon-to-be-tassel yarn around a DVD case. Perfect size!

I made six tassels and it probably took me less than an hour. Try it out! I want to make more more more and sew them onto a belt. I just tied these onto one of my coin scarves and they weren't too stable on there, so I will have to reinforce a little bit. We danced at the Southern Minnesota Pride Fest yesterday and I said that I felt like a Christmas tree with all this stuff hanging off my skirt. (I also had lots of "dragon bones" from Renaissance, as well as a sweet sword charm that features a double unicorn head and a wizard's face.)

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!
