I found the pattern on Ravelry, as always - you can see it here: Petite Pineapple Doily. Clearly, mine didn't turn out as petite or quarter-sized as the picture, but I might have used a way bigger size thread than the pattern called for. I was given a huge garbage bag full of crochet thread from my aunt and most of them had no labels on them any more.

I got to use my tiny little hook case! My mom got this for me from Hobby Lobby last year. I'm terrified to use those tiny little hooks! For the project, I used a trust #6. Not too tiny.

See how NOT quarter-sized this is? That's ok - I wanted it this big. I do have to block it still, buuuut I hate blocking. I wish there was a place I could just send it and pay $5 for them to block it perfectly for me.
Oooh so pretty! I have never tried to crochet something so small. I don't know if my eyes could take it.

ReplyDeleteThat's so pretty! I'd never even seen a size 1 crochet hook before (let alone crocheted something with it)!
